school for children with autism

Instructor Therapist

For as long as I can remember I’ve had a strong desire to support children by helping them foster growth and well-being. Working in this field has shaped me into the person I am today. I’m forever grateful to get the pleasure of observing children reach goals and gain independence within a specialized learning environment.

I began supporting children with Autism during a high school placement program. This was an unforgettable experience and led me to begin private respite services for children on the spectrum during my final year of high school. I began my post-secondary education at Fanshawe College and graduated from the Developmental Service Worker program. I began working at a group home supporting adults with a Dual Diagnosis. In 2015, I graduated from the Autism and Behavioural Science Program. I started in home IBI therapy for two years. Delivering this evidence-based intervention proved that teaching children at their skill level and in their environment are two keys to success.

My passion is providing Autism Therapy. When I heard about The Lighthouse Learning and Developmental Centre, I realized this school is exactly where I dreamed of working. I couldn’t be more proud to be part of the ABA team. Everyday is a positive environment for the staff and children here!
